Todd Gilens is a visual artist making artworks for unusual sites and clients. Shaping projects through dialogue with communities and through historical, material and cultural research, his work focuses on language, images and ideas as actors that can make a difference in the real world.

He often enlists audiences and other specialists in project realization, drawing on learning theory, landscape history, and design process to encourage dialogue and refine understanding.
